Indoor cycle

Utilizing top of the range Schwinn cycles our trainers will push and pull you through a fun and energetic session of sprints and hill climbs with very little time for free wheeling. Set in our functional training studio against a backdrop of LED lights and motivational music this class is a good one for all. Cycles and resistance are fully adjustable meaning whether you’re triathlon fit or a beginner you can work at your own level and get the most out of the class.

REQUIREMENTS
• None

Cross cycle

Imagine all of the above with a bit of work off the bike thrown in for good measure, trainers will have a pre planned circuit of work to do off the bike specifically targeting upper body and abdominal muscles. This style of class is extremely popular with many of today’s fittest celebs including David Beckham.

Xtraining

What to expect : pushing, pulling, jumping, stepping, lifting, twisting, turning, squatting, lunging, kettle bells, sandbags, battle ropes, prowlers, suspension training……….etc etc. Atom has a specially designed functional training room primarily built for the purpose of running cross training classes, trainers utilize the space and extensive range of equipment to create high energy, effective and some might say “fun” full body workouts. There probably isn’t a class in existence that offers the same results as functional circuit training when done right, but its important to remember you only get out of a class what you put in. Luckily we only employ the best so our PT’s will make sure your time in the class isn’t wasted.

REQUIREMENTS
• Competent technique for basic squatting and lifting.
• No pre existing back or knee problems

Ab blast

Quick fire, high intensity and very targeted, abb blast is a great addition to any gym routine and requires little explanation.

Boxercise

One of Atoms most popular classes it’s a great way to work hard while blowing off some steam. Boxercise is a full body cardio workout that also helps improve co-ordination and motor skills, so its win win, you get to hit stuff while improving fitness, making your brain work and burning a huge amount of calories. Open to everyone, no technical ability required, although if you are new to the class you may feel like you need a spare set of arms by the end of it.

Olympic lifting

This is one for the more experienced gym goer interested in improving technique and understanding the various elements of compound lifting. Instructed by one of our experienced PT’s qualified in Olympic lifting it’s a great opportunity to progress your current workouts by adding in some of the classic lifts, jerks and snatches. These movements really are the foundation to a strong body from the core generating out and there is nothing else that can come close in terms of improving strength and acting as a catalyst for growth. The sessions take part in our functional training studio and involve both theory and practical application.
